Meredith Dank Awarded Funding From

Innovations For Poverty Action

Research Professor Meredith Dank, who heads the Human Exploitation and Resilience initiative, and Sheldon Zhang from the University of Massachusetts Lowell have received a piloting and exploratory seed grant from IPA. Working with India-based Praxis-Institute for Participatory Practices, the team will explore and plan a rigorous experiment of a promising intervention program aimed at diverting young women in marginalized tribal communities in India who want to choose a different life from the one they were born into, where sex work is the main source of income.
