Director of Health, Environment, and Policy, Kevin Cromar, has been invited by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy to serve as a contributing author for the Economics chapter of the Sixth National Climate Assessment (NCA6). The National Climate Assessment, the U.S. Government’s premier report on climate-change impacts, risks, and adaptation, is an interagency effort, bringing together hundreds of experts from federal, state, and local governments, as well as the academic, non-profit, and private sectors. The scientific report is generated every four years and informs federal policy decisions. This chapter will provide scientific updates and address topics that were not addressed in the Economics chapter of the Fifth National Climate Assessment.
