In Memory of Donald Marron

It is with great sadness we report that our founding donor, Donald Marron, passed away on the evening of Friday, December 6. Mr. Marron led a prolific and accomplished life demonstrated through his work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, and intellectual curiosity. The Marron Institute will remember Mr. Marron for his commitment to supporting an innovative model of applied research based upon impact and financial sustainability. His passions for urban management, data, and the great city of New York are reflected in much of our programming, and this influential work is his legacy. Of equal importance, we valued him for his generosity and kindness. He was always willing to listen and provide wise counsel concerning the Institute’s opportunities and challenges. Our thoughts are with his family as well as his many friends and colleagues.
