Covid-19 Social-Distancing Behavior Article in Scientific Reports

Director of Civic Analytics, Constantine Kontokosta, Research Scientist Bartosz Bończak, and Associate Research Scholar Boyeong Hong have published “Measuring Sensitivity to Social Distancing Behavior During the COVID-19 Pandemic” in Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio), which analyzes NYC311 social-distancing complaints and mobility data:

Our findings provide insight into systemic bias in resident reporting and the community characteristics impacting socio-behavioral responses to public health interventions. As such, our work is intended to support equitable and targeted public health policies that overcome current constraints to the objective and timely evaluation of local decision-making processes.
