Bartosz Bończak and Elif Ensari

at NYU GIS Day

Marron researchers presented lightning talks at NYU GIS Day:

  • Civic Analytics Research Scientist and Lab Manager Bartosz Bończak presented on the Civic Analytics program’s geospatial and geoAI-based research. The talk included the NYC Energy & Water Performance Map, which shows energy, water, and carbon emissions data for NYC larger buildings, and NSF-funded work on community networks and neighborhood change.
  • Transportation and Land Use Research Scholar Elif Ensari presented her program’s Transit Oriented Development study of the Interborough Express Corridor. Their research looked into the development potential around the proposed IBX stations with the aim to promote strategic land-use changes and street redesigns necessary to maximize the investment that will be made to build the line.
