An Analysis of Progress to Date and Guide for Future Policy

New York University’s Guarini Center on Environmental, Energy and Land Use Law and the Civic Analytics program released a new report supported by the Esther A. and Joseph Klingenstein Fund, The Implementation of Local Building Performance Standards: An Analysis of Progress to Date and Guide for Future Policy, which provides a retrospective analysis of the implementation of local building performance standards (BPS) laws using qualitative and quantitative methods. Director of Civic Analytics, Constantine Kontokosta, led a team that analyzed building energy and other data in four cities (Boston, Denver, New York City, and Washington, DC).
