Carceral Conditions
Our work in correctional facilities aims to improve the well-being of both incarcerated people and those who supervise them. We identify promising areas for improvements by engaging with the people who work and live in jails, prisons, and detention centers. We target the harms that can accrue and seek to improve conditions of confinement—transforming the physical environment and improving staff interactions and practices, by applying data analytics, revising policies and processes, and testing innovations.
