Isabel Coronado Discusses Strategies to Support
Justice-Involved Family Reunification
Litmus Research Scholar Isabel Coronado participated in a panel at the Second Chance Act Addressing the Needs of Incarcerated Parents and Their Minor Children Grantee convening, hosted by the Council of State Governments and the USDOJ Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, for Second Chance Act grantees from around the country to meet and learn about topics that inform their work. The panel discussed strategies to support family reunification in reentry using early-release mechanisms, adopting policies that support free communications for families, and establishing formal partnerships to support families involved in the child-welfare system.
