Grant Award: Alternatives to Solitary Confinement

+ Brandon Fuller

The Marron Institute is pleased to announce a grant award from the Laura and John Arnold Foundation for work on alternatives to solitary confinement in Pennsylvania state prisions. Marron will use the award to conduct a randomized controlled trial evaluating the impact of a Swift-Certain-Fair (SCF) approach to inmate infractions and safety, with an eye towards informing national prison practice. The work will carried out by Marron's Crime and Justice program, led by Mark Kleiman.
