Women in the Justice System
Most criminal justice-reform efforts focus on men, who make up the lion’s share of justice-involved populations. Research shows that women benefit from gender-specific programs and practices, so many jurisdictions now implement gender-responsive policies and programs that meet women’s particular needs and challenges. We partner with justice agencies and community-based organizations to identify and implement gender-responsive interventions and develop metrics and tools to assess their impact.
