The Litmus Program at the NYU Marron Institute​ invites applications for an assistantship in statistics at the NYU Marron Institute, for the Spring 2022 semester.

The Litmus Statistics Fellow

NYU PhD students with strong backgrounds in statistics are welcome to apply for this paid position. We encourage applicants with relevant coursework and experience with non-experimental causal inference and managing complex datasets. The Litmus Statistics Fellow will work alongside NYU faculty and research scholars and will contribute to an array of policy-focused research.

About the Litmus Statistics Fellowship. Fellows will work on research teams that engage with government agencies and non-profit organizations to use data analysis for insights, knowledge, and opportunities for action. Fellows can expect to:

  • Work on one (or more) research projects as a member of a research team/s, including on federally funded research projects related to public safety, employment readiness, and substance use disorders.
  • Produce statistical models, visualizations, and code, using a range of data.
  • Contribute, as appropriate, to conference and journal publications.
