PS182Q Tests a New Approach to Engaging Parents

Professor Angela Hawken's BetaEd initiative recently worked with PS182Q, Samantha Smith School in Queens, to test a new strategy for engaging parents in an effort to improve student participation rates for online math homework. The school found that supplementing paper notifications with a phone-call reminder appears to improve parent engagement and increase homework participation.
