The Vallejo Police Department partnered with the Litmus Program’s BetaGov initiative “to test the effect of code-2 police lights on thefts [from automobiles] through a practitioner-led research project.” BetaGov helped “to measure total auto crime, arrests, motor vehicle registration checks, and citizen contacts that resulted from [the] intervention.”
