Litmus Communications Fellowship Opportunity

Deadline to Apply: March 31, 2022

The Litmus Program at the NYU Marron Institute  invites applications for an assistantship in communications at the NYU Marron Institute, for the Spring 2022 semester.

The Litmus Communications Fellow

NYU graduate and undergraduate students are welcome to apply for this paid position. The Communications Fellow will work with the director and other research scholars to support the communication of policy-focused research. The Fellow will ensure that project reports and visualizations prepared by Litmus scholars are engaging to readers (including scholar and non-scholar audiences). Candidates with strong communications skills, prior experience, or relevant coursework are particularly encouraged to apply. This position would be a good fit for a motivated and creative student who works well with others.

About the Litmus Communications Fellowship. The Fellow will work alongside researchers who engage with government agencies and non-profit organizations to provide insights, knowledge, and opportunities for action. Fellows can expect to:

  • Assist with communications on multiple projects as a member of the team, working alongside researchers and data scientists.
  • Convert reports and visualizations produced by the research team into stylized reports ready for dissemination to broad audiences.
  • Contribute, as appropriate, to planning communications (including helping us think about novel communication strategies that we haven’t yet imagined).

To apply, please submit the following:

  • CV
  • A cover letter (no more than 1 page) summarizing your experience and training related to the above requirements, together with a statement of how the Fellowship would further your career goals.

Application materials should be emailed to jonathan.kulick@nyu.edu no later than March 31, 2022. Research-assistant positions are for the Spring 2022 semester, with extension possible for the Summer 2022 semester and beyond.
