Kevin Cromar Speaks on
the Health Impacts of the Trans Mountain Expansion Project
Director of Health, Environment, and Policy, Kevin Cromar, recently spoke at a public event in Vancouver, hosted by Simon Fraser University, on the hidden costs of major Canadian fossil-energy projects, with a particular focus on the Trans Mountain Expansion Project (TMEP) in northern British Columbia. He presented his research on including the health impacts of climate change in public decisionmaking. The failure to consider health and other climate impacts in the TMEP planning process underrepresented its economic damages by approximately $17 billion.
