In “Feds Make Good on $3.4B Trump-Cuomo Deal for Funding of NYC Second Avenue Subway,” the Transit Costs Project is cited:

The project would extend the Q line from its northern terminus at 96th St. and Second Ave. by 1.6 miles to 125th St. and Lexington Ave. The work breaks down to $3.9 billion per mile, which researchers at New York University’s Marron Institute found is the highest per-mile cost of any subway expansion project in the history of the world.
