Tulay Akoglu

Biography

Tulay Akoglu is a Graduate Research Assistant in the Human Exploitation and Resilience program and an MPA candidate at NYU Wagner, specializing in International Development. A skilled mixed-methods researcher, she has worked on evaluations across more than 30 countries. Prior to NYU, Tulay was a Research Associate II at NORC at the University of Chicago, where she led studies on forced labor and human trafficking for stakeholders including USAID, the U.S. Department of State, and the International Labour Organization. Her research interests generally focus on the exploitation of vulnerable populations in low- and middle- income countries. Tulay holds a B.A. from Wellesley College in International Relations-Economics, with a minor in Japanese.
