Biography
Peter is a Fellow in the Human Exploitation and Resilience program of the NYU Marron Institute and a researcher and writer with a primary focus on public policy, human rights, and democratic participation. His research and collaborations have removed forced labor from major corporations’ supply chains, improved healthcare for trafficked individuals, and increased participation in local politics. Peter previously taught courses on race and American politics. He also worked to increase access to cutting-edge science at both Massachusetts General Hospital and a STEM education nonprofit. Peter holds a PhD in African American Studies from Harvard University and a BA in Political Science from Rutgers University-Rutgers College.
