Maureen Hillhouse

Biography

Maureen Hillhouse, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Scholar in the Litmus program at NYU’s Marron Institute. Dr. Hillhouse manages BetaGov, working with criminal-justice, health, education, and social-service agencies to plan and implement randomized controlled trials aimed at making improvements in process and outcomes. She is an advisor to the SCF Resource Center and Segregation Solutions. She was a research psychologist at the UCLA Drug Abuse Research Center and its successor, the Integrated Substance Abuse Programs. She received NIDA funding to investigate addiction treatments, which included clinical trials of behavioral interventions and pharmacotherapies. She was also an investigator in the NIDA Clinical Trials Network and a committee member for the UCLA Institutional Review Board. Dr. Hillhouse has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University, Northridge, as well as a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in psychology from UCLA.
