Biography

Lina Cook is an Assistant Research Scientist in the Litmus program of the NYU Marron Institute. She has a Master's in Applied Statistics for Social Science Research from NYU. Prior to NYU, she earned a bachelor's degree in statistics with a minor in philosophy at Brigham Young University. As an undergraduate student, she worked as a data scientist and computer programmer for the BYU library, creating a centralized data table of university publications and performing exploratory analyses on library services. Her previous research includes prison-education program evaluation and analysis of heart-rate variability in psychological treatments. She enjoys working with the Litmus program to use data and statistics to bring social change and innovation to the public sector.
