Leo Shirky is a Student Fellow with the Transportation and Land-Use program of the NYU Marron Institute, and is pursuing his Bachelor's Degree in Urban Studies at NYU Shanghai. He is currently studying the impacts of the construction of transit infrastructure on the use of low-carbon transport in Chengdu, China with Professor Chenghe Charlie Guan, and with Eric Goldwyn on a land-use proposal for the Interborough Express. He has been interested in urban transit and transportation planning for his entire life, particularly in New York City. He is the author of a blog called Secrets of the Subway, about New York City's transit system. He will graduate in May 2023.
