Biography

Kari Kohn is the Deputy Director and a Research Scholar at the NYU Marron Institute. Her primary responsibilities include supporting the Institute's Director on strategic initiatives in the areas of development, recruiting, communications, programming, and governance. She is also responsible for designing and implementing all internal Marron financial infrastructure as well as analyzing all financial information in line with the Institute's mission of impact and financial sustainability. Prior to joining NYU, she was a founding team member and Treasurer of Charter Cities, a non-profit that focused on the potential for new cities to advance reform in rapidly urbanizing countries. Before that she was a special situations investment analyst at several buy side funds and at Morgan Stanley. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and graduated magna cum laude from Duke University with a B.A. in Mathematics and B.S. in Economics.
