Biography
Josh Doerner is an Assistant Research Scholar in the Litmus program at the NYU Marron Institute. He is currently serving as Project Coordinator for the Improving Reentry Through Careers program where the project team is working with the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) to provide vocational training and help employ incarcerated individuals as they transition to release in southern Illinois. Prior to joining NYU, he was employed by IDOC as the Southern Region Program Development Specialist where he helped correctional institutions implement new behavioral modification and life skills programs, as well as provided quality assurance through fidelity monitoring and staff training. Prior to joining IDOC, Mr. Doerner served as the Project Manager for a statewide evaluation of all correctional programming within IDOC. Mr. Doerner earned his BA in Psychology and MA in Applied Psychology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
