Biography
James Woods, PMI-ACP, is an Assistant Research Scholar/Project Coordinator in the Litmus program at NYU’s Marron Institute of Urban Management. Mr. Woods provides project management and capacity-building support to technical-assistance teams that assist public-safety agencies and community organizations that serve justice-involved people. Prior to joining NYU, Mr. Woods worked as a program manager/project manager for Chicago-based non-profit organizations that serve people impacted by economic, societal, and justice-related inequities. He supported technical-assistance teams funded by Second Chance Act grants and supported the launch of job-training and gun-violence prevention services funded by Cook County’s Justice Advisory Council. Mr. Woods is a PMI-certified project-management professional with deep experience creating systems and processes to enhance organizational effectiveness and solve complex challenges. He is completing the final semester of Adler University’s Master of Public Policy and Administration degree program, with a human rights/social justice concentration.
