Guo Jifu is Director of the Beijing Transportation Research Center, a professor-level senior engineer, and a doctoral tutor. He is also a Deputy to the 14th Beijing People’s Congress and a Member of the Urban Construction and Environmental Protection Committee. Dr. Guo has won numerous Provincial Science and Technology Awards (two first prizes, five second prizes), has four design patents to his name, and has copyrights to five software works. He also developed four local and two national standards . In 2001, Dr. Guo was awarded the “Beijing Excellent Young Intellectual” title. In 2004, he was conferred the “Special Government Allowance” by the State Council and, in 2005, won the “Beijing Advanced Worker (Model Worker)” title.
