UN Data for Climate Action

ghg.png

As part of the United Nations Global Pulse Data for Climate Action Challenge, the Urban Intellignece Lab at the Marron Institute developed a dynamic, spatial-temporal model of urban carbon emissions, a first-of-its-kind high resolution hourly model of built environment carbon emissions to enable local, data-driven climate policies. This tool is designed as a prototype to support climate action by providing an unprecedented view of localized carbon emissions. For this work, the team received the Best Data Visualization Award.
