by
Kevin Cromar
Director of Health, Environment, and Policy, Kevin Cromar, spoke at the January 2022 NASA Health and Air Quality Applied Sciences Team (HAQAST) Conference, which was held virtually. He addressed “Growing Access to Data Products for Health and Air Quality Applications,” by sharing updates from his ongoing work with air-quality and health agencies in Latin America and Africa and from the NASA-funded project Cromar is leading to improve stakeholder access and utilization of high-quality satellite-based data products. The talk also reflected a recent co-authored paper in GeoHealth, “Augmenting the Standard Operating Procedures of Health and Air Quality Stakeholders With NASA Resources,” with detailed examples of how to better characterize and forecast air-quality information using publicly available resources.
