The Transportation and Land-Use program has received additional support from Arnold Ventures, with the aim of building transportation infrastructure better, faster, and at a lower cost by advancing research on the causes of high costs and delays in U.S. transit projects and supporting more direct policy engagement for reforms at the federal, state, and local levels. Director of Transportation and Land Use, Eric Goldwyn, and his team of Research Scholar Elif Ensari, Fellow Alon Levy, Fellow Marco Chitti, and additional collaborators, will develop new public-facing datasets, work with agencies and policymakers, and explore how to optimize development when building urban transit, build subways and high-speed rail at reasonable costs, and increase bus ridership.
