Goldwyn and Levy Receive Arnold Ventures Funding
to Study Transit-Infrastructure Research
Marron Institute Research Scholar Dr. Eric Goldwyn and Marron Fellow Dr. Alon Levy were awarded funding by Arnold Ventures in support of their project, Understanding Transit-Infrastructure Costs in American Cities. In this study, Goldwyn and Levy will analyze transit infrastructure project costs globally to provide a context for the evaluation of costs for similar American transit projects. Using this data, they also aim to explain where American project costs diverge from other projects abroad and investigate why domestic costs are so much higher. Ultimately, this research will provide better information for policy makers and the public in understanding the high costs of transit infrastructure and inform effective solutions for reducing them.
